Mission

To make the whole of Jefferson County more disaster-resilient through implementation of best practices, active engagement of community partners and the coordination of public safety initiatives and resources, locally and regionally, in all phases of emergency management.

Overview

The Office of Emergency Management provides inter-agency coordination and planning support to mitigate the impact of natural & human-caused disasters in Jefferson County. The office is also home to Jefferson County's Hazardous Materials Response Team.
