The project will consist of a bridge replacement on Allen Road over Sandy Creek approximately 0.6 miles north of Sandy Church Road. The existing structure is considered structurally deficient with a posted weight limit. Allen Road Bridge will be approximately 20-feet longer than the existing bridge. The bridge width will be extended to 12-foot lanes and 4-foot shoulders on each side. The bridge will have concrete bridge barriers installed on the structure with guardrail installed along the approaching roadway. Roadway work will be minimalized to only what is necessary to tie the new structure back into the existing roadway.

Tentative schedules for right of way acquisition and construction can be discussed at the hearing.
